We’ve been praying, consulting with local officials, working with other churches and seeking as much guidance and counsel as we can, and today, we are excited to share our re-gathering plan with you. We are planning to regather at all campuses on Sunday, August 2! Our re-gathering will be an experience that’s been re-designed to help keep you and families safe, and it’s been created with three perspectives in mind: The Biblical Perspective The Historical Perspective The Emotional Perspective Check out our Lead Pastor Aaron Brockett’s video for more insight and encouragement on those perspectives, and for all the details about our regathering plan (continue checking this page as more updates and details will be released in the coming weeks).
We’d encourage you to note a few important details: Gatherings at our Northeast and Midtown campuses will be temporarily suspended. In order to help our church prepare for this critical next season of ministry--taking full advantage of the opportunity to increase our online offerings--we have realigned staff and financial resources. We want to be excellent stewards of all that God has put in front of us. This means putting both staff and finances in strategic places to help us more fully reach people online AND in person. Here’s what that means for three of our campuses:
If you were part of the Midtown campus, we’d love to invite you to join our Downtown campus. Many staff, teams and guests came from the Downtown campus, and we’re asking you to re-join that campus.
We have every intention of regathering the Midtown Campus as soon as we can. In fact, we are continuing to work on plans to have the Marsh Building in Broad Ripple eventually become our permanent Midtown Campus.
Kyle Riley, who was pastor for Midtown, will become campus pastor for Downtown. Ryan Bramlett, who was pastor for Downtown, will step into a full-time role as teaching pastor for Traders Point. If you’re part of Downtown or Midtown, reach out to Kyle and Ryan and celebrate and encourage them!

Check out this update from our Lead Pastor, Aaron Brockett, on physically gathering again. He shares a few of our guiding principles.
On May 1, Gov. Holcomb revised his stay-at-home order for Indiana. This revised order states that churches can re-convene physically again after May 8, if they observe very strict health and safety protocols. His recommendation is that, if churches can continue to meet online, they do so.
We are thankful for the incredible work Gov. Holcomb and his team have done to ensure our safety and the safety of our community!
For now, Traders Point will continue to meet online. In this video, Aaron gives three principles guiding this decision:
1. Traders Point has never been closed. In fact, Traders Point is more open than ever, reaching and engaging and caring for more people than ever. The church can be the church wherever we are.
2. We’re listening closely to medical professionals, and we are here to serve our city. If we open up too quickly, it could unnecessarily put people’s lives at risk. We want to be a blessing to the city, and that means doing all we can to keep people safe.
3. We don’t want to get back together again until it can be a great experience for everyone. If we couldn’t do Kids Ministry or we had to put stringent restrictions in place so we can follow the 6-foot distancing guidelines, that wouldn’t be a great experience, especially for anyone who has never been to church before.
We are actively working on plans to re-convene in physical gatherings. When we know what those plans will look like and when they might roll out, we will update you here.
For now, continue joining us online. Keep inviting people to join us, continue sharing our social posts and continue engaging with us online. Students in 7th-12th grade and continue to join in Catalyst online and kids can participate in Kids Ministry online. Continue meeting in groups online. If you call Traders Point home, continue giving online so we can quickly turn around and meet unique needs that come up in our city.
Check out more details in Aaron's message!

Working with local organizations, we have opened our Downtown campus to have childcare for medical professionals affiliated with these organizations. We are looking for more opportunities to continue serving them.Keep checking our Make A Difference page. We’ll be adding more ideas and specific needs you can meet--and stories we can celebrate!

We may not be gathering together physically right now in an effort to do our part in slowing the spread of COVID-19, but the church has never been a building. The church is people gathered in the name of Jesus.
We’re committed to getting the message of Jesus out. Here’s how we’re going to do that right now:
Our Kids and Students teams are working hard to create new online content, and we’ll have an update for you soon. Groups should continue meeting—they can do that online through Facetime, Skype, or Zoom calls.
As always, continue to stay updated by watching this COVID-19 response page for updates.
Check out this message from Aaron Brockett:
We want to share some important updates with you in light of the rapidly developing coronavirus situation. As you know, we’re in a situation we’ve never been in before and things are changing day by day. After consulting with multiple medical professionals, the CDC and local officials, we know people are on both sides of how to move forward. Here’s what we’ve decided: Out of an abundance of precaution and care, for this weekend, Sunday, March, 15, we will move our weekend experience to online only at tpcc.org/messages—available on demand, anytime you can watch. We want Traders Point to be a blessing to the city of Indianapolis, a place where people can find help and hope.
We don’t ever want to create any undue burden on our city and surrounding communities. With coronavirus in mind, we feel we can best be a blessing by refraining from holding large gatherings at our campuses. Social distancing is the best way to curb the spread of this virus.
This is the opportunity we have: We’re already making a difference in our communities and affected areas. Stay tuned to our Make a Difference page for how we can continue to do that even more so right now!
